The season of parties has begun! Is your house ready?

Be it a spooky Halloween soiree, a thanksgiving feast or a holiday gift stealing game party - is your house ready? Now is the time to de-clutter & organize before the relatives start unexpectedly popping by.

If you need a little hand getting party ready and want to get a jump on your Halloween party or the winter holidays, now is a great time to bring me in for a low stress session. November is already booked solid so don’t wait until the last minute!

Here are 5 quick tips for getting your space ready to host the best holiday gatherings of the year and be prepared for those surprise guests.

1. Plan Ahead. The holidays are one of the busiest times of year, which means it can become even more stressful if you procrastinate. To make sure your events go smoothly, it’s best to start early and complete tasks gradually, rather than waiting until the last minute. October is a great time to get a jump on it.
2. Quick clean & de-clutter. You don’t need to clean your entire house, but definitely give some attention to the rooms where guests will be frequently. Make sure your flat surfaces are cleared off as much as possible so you have plenty of room for holiday decorations and yummy snacks. Don’t forget fresh linens in the guest room in case a friend sips a bit too much party punch!
3. Deep clean kitchen & bathrooms. These areas get the most use during the holiday season and it’s where the majority of our guests spend a lot of their time. Because of that, I like to do a fairly deep clean to get them company ready.
4. Check your stock. Nobody wants to run out of toilet paper at a party! Check to make sure you have enough frequently used things like hand soap, paper towels & quick cleaning supplies for those clumsy buddies.
5. Decorate your Space. Decorating your home is one of the best parts about hosting holiday parties. Having the right decorations can completely transform your space and can get people in a festive mood! String lights are my favorite for creating a cozy atmosphere.

You did it! You’ve  finished getting your home ready for the holidays. Now put on some spooky mood music or a scary movie and relax knowing that when the unexpected relative knocks on the door or the first party guest rings the doorbell, you’re ready for them.
